Most of our teams were in action at the Bispham Tournament on 30th May – the under 11’s performed particularly well. Here’s a brief summary of their day…..

The under 11’s topped Group 1 of the qualifying stage.  They won their first game against Cadley 3 – 0, with Charlotte, Fran and Megan scoring.  Next up was Stoke, who PNE defeated 1 – 0 (goalscorer Charlotte), and then AFC Darwen which resulted in a 2 – 1 win for PNE (goalscorers Ellie and Lauryn).

The next game was a close contest with Crosby Stuart which ended in a 0 – 0 draw.  The final game of the qualifying stage was against Marple, a late goal from Charlotte securing a 1 – 0 win.  PNE met AFC Darwen again in their quarter final, with goals from Megan and Freya resulting in a 2 – 1 win to put the team through to the next stage.

The team faced Man City in the semi-final and put in a valiant performance, with Man City winning 2 – 0 and going through to face Bootle JFC in the final.
