Youngsters Make Debut in FA Women’s Cup and League Cup

We were delighted to see two of our Under 16 players from last season make their debuts for Preston North End Women’s FC 1st Team whilst still playing for the Under 16s last season.

Emily Hutton at just 16 years and 8 days made her debut in the FA Women’s Cup against Stoke City and Olivia Millington aged 16 years and 18 days made her debut against Rochdale in the FA Women’s League Cup. Both players went on to play for the Women’s 1st team on a number of occasions before the end of the season with both players also ending up on the score sheet before the season closed.

Congratulations to both players on an outstanding achievement which demonstrates not only the talent that is being nurtured and developed in our Club but the great links that are in place with our Women’s Senior team and the confidence that they have in our player development program.

We intend to continue to build on the strong links with our Women’s Senior Team going forward and our ambition is to develop as many players as we can to be the best that they can be so that by the time they graduate into Senior football they stand the best chance possible of claiming a place in one of our Senior Women’s squads.
