Competition to promote Anti-Bullying Week

Preston North End WJFC is supporting Anti-Bullying Week which takes place between 18 and 22 November 2013.

The purpose of the event is to highlight the misery caused by bullying using electronic media and to urge all children and young people not to participate in such damaging practices.

We want football to be a sport where bullying is not tolerated or ignored and we need all young people to be able to play our game in a safe and enjoyable environment without the threat of being persecuted for being different in any way.

To mark Anti-Bullying Week Lancashire Football Association is running a poem writing competition.  The competition is open to all children and young people playing football in Lancashire.  As well as the LFA awarding a prize for the winning entry, it will also be posted on the LFA website and distributed to local media.

Entries should be sent to joan.north@virgin.net and should include your name and age.  The closing date is 1 November 2013.

If you have any concerns relating to bullying please contact our Club Welfare Officer, Joan North at  joan.north@virgin.net or on 07875 355846.
